Cheshire ISAR team consists of twelve persons from a range of operational roles across the Service. Recruitment into the team is following an expression of interest, psychological profiling, interview and 48 hour exercise. The team is composed from a mix of operational fire-fighters from front line fire stations and our technical rescue station, Operational Crew and Watch Managers, Operational Training Instructors and a Team Manager.

Cheshire has, until his retirement in 2016 been the home of search dog, Bryn, and his handler Steve Buckley who were given an Award of Merit from the Peoples Dispensary of Sick Animals for his work on deployments both within the UK and in Nepal.

Cheshire were a founding member of UKISAR back in 1994 and are proud to be part of the team assisting and changing lives for those in greatest need.
