Chainsaw, Windblown Trees Training – July 2024

August 15, 2024

In the aftermath of natural disturbances, trees can become uprooted or windblown, creating complex challenges. For those who work in these demanding conditions, having the right qualifications is essential. This training provides UK ISAR team members with the skills necessary for safely severing root-plates from fully blown stems.

This qualification focuses on the technical and safety aspects of severing root-plates from uprooted or windblown trees. The course covers a broad range of scenarios, including practicing how to approach trees that are intermeshed in a complex fashion with a planned order of approach .

A key component of this qualification is the emphasis on health and safety. These are essential skills for safe storm clearance during international disaster responses. Preparedness is key to saving lives.
